We were all saddened when in 2020 the Culture Crawl Festival was forced to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The brand and the artistry continued throughout all of 2020 through virtual events, curated outdoor art displays, live music and poetry just to name a few. This year, we are bringing back the Culture Crawl Festival in a way that is safe for our Artists and our Community.
How will this year’s event be different you ask? Culture Crawl will be weather permitting this year unlike the rain or shine event of years past. You will still be able to enjoy the different curated zones loaded with visual arts, music, dance, spoken word and everything you have come to enjoy.
As part of the Culture Crawl Festival, we will be running an art competition called “Emerge”. Artists are encouraged to submit for review pieces that revolve around the theme of emerging which is quite fitting as we watch our world begin to…emerge again. Artists will be able to submit their piece free of charge and only pieces pre-submitted/registered will be judged. The juried pieces will be vying for cash prizes. All other artwork for the festival as a whole are welcome and can be shown and sold.
Call to Artist submissions are open now! Artist of all genres and mediums are welcome to sell their artwork &/or merchandise at the location they are placed. which is at the discretion of the Rahway Arts & Business Partnership. Register with the Artist form.
Culture Crawl lines the streets with artists of all genres, however, if you sell jewelry or other products manufactured somewhere else, we have created a Vendor Village. To be located in this specific space, you need to register via the Vender Village form and the fee is $50 per table. Vendors must supply all tables and chairs and space is limited. Register with the Vendor form.
Emerge Art Contest submissions to open very soon so please stay plugged in!
